REVOLVE PROJECT

Hey everybody! Welcome to Revolve - the creative project of brother-sister duo Richie and Krissy Terwilliger.

As two former Team USA athletes with decades of combined competitive baton twirling experience, it is our mission to share the excitement and entertainment of baton with communities around the world.

OUR STORY

Baton Twirling \ A physical skill involving the manipulation of one or multiple metal sticks for recreation, entertainment, art, or sport.

For years, baton twirling has always been a central part of our lives. Like many other semi-professional and professional athletes, we devoted endless hours to training, pushed through intensive injuries, and sacrificed our personal and professional endeavors all to hone our mind, body, and craft in preparation for a chance at national and world titles.

Reflecting back, it is easy to pick out the greatest accomplishments and failures of a competitive career. What is not as easy is to express just how much baton has given us, and how lucky we are to have seemingly stumbled into this amazing sport and art form. Baton has presented us with opportunities to form amazing friendships and travel the world. It has challenged us mentally and physically - offering a unique outlet where an athlete can weave critical thinking, creativity, and artistry into a high-performance sport. In short, it is addicting, and it is hella fun.

But there is a problem. Despite having so much to offer, and requiring so little to get started, baton has somehow managed to remain niche in its societal perception. Even those that have heard of it still wrongly equate the modern sport with its majorette and parade origins of the past. Unfortunately, this has formed a barrier, preventing so many people from experiencing the same passion we have enjoyed. We’re here to change that.

Revolve was founded on a simple idea – people love to watch baton, and people love to try baton.

Whether it be wielding a world-class competition baton, a bo-staff, a lightsaber, or that broom handle you have laying around the house; spinning even in its most simplistic forms is entertaining and brings enjoyment to those watching and those practicing.

Now, guided by decades of combined competitive and professional experience, it is our hope to share the enjoyment and fulfillment baton has given us with you. Making baton and spinning in all its forms accessible to people globally through inspiring content, live events, and simple tutorials.
